Founder – Anna Stoddart

A renowned flautist of the ABC flute, harp and cello trio “Carisma”, Anna has enjoyed an extensive performance career with the Queensland Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestras. Upon her retirement, Anna founded the Gold Coast Chamber Orchestra as the primary philanthropist and orchestra manager having seen the lack of chamber music opportunities for her professional colleagues on the Gold Coast. Anna was able to use her experience as part of the Northern Rivers Symphony Orchestra (NRSO) committee to found the organisation from 2011-2016. Having successfully established the organisation as an  Australian Cultural Organisation and not-for-profit organisation in 2016 and 2017 respectively, Anna continues her involvement in mentoring and liaising within the newly elected committee though hopes to see the organisation thrive without her input in coming years.
